Eye-care in the Gambia
Minimal eye-health
The Gambia is a small and stable African country which already positions it well to deliver good eye-care at a national level.
However, the country still faces challenges in terms of a lack of health care workers as well as a lack of health-care facilities and health care workers, with only four doctors to every 100,000 people, among the lowest in Africa.
